The terms for using this website, and how Baxter IT collects, uses, protects and manages personal information.
1. Using this website
This website is operated by Baxter IT. By accessing or using this website, you agree to use it lawfully, responsibly and in a way that does not interfere with the website, its security, or another person's use of it.
You must not attempt to misuse the website, submit malicious code, interfere with forms or security tools, scrape content at unreasonable volume, or use the website for unlawful, misleading or harmful purposes.
2. Website information
The information on this website is general information about Baxter IT, our services and business technology topics. It is not legal, financial, compliance, security or professional advice tailored to your circumstances.
Technology recommendations depend on the environment, risk profile, budget, users, suppliers and systems involved. You should seek specific advice before relying on general website information for an important business decision.
3. Services, quotes and enquiries
Submitting an enquiry, booking a consultation or contacting Baxter IT does not automatically create a client relationship or service agreement. Any work, pricing, scope, responsibilities, access requirements and deliverables should be confirmed in writing before work begins.
Where a separate proposal, quote, service agreement, managed service agreement, statement of work or confidentiality agreement applies, that document may contain additional terms and will take priority to the extent of any inconsistency.
4. Intellectual property
Unless otherwise stated, the content on this website, including text, layout, design elements, graphics and branding, is owned by or licensed to Baxter IT.
You may view and share links to this website for normal business or personal use. You must not copy, reproduce, adapt, republish or commercially exploit website content without permission, except as allowed by law.
5. Third-party links and services
This website may link to third-party websites, platforms or services. These may include suppliers, client websites, booking tools, analytics tools, security tools, payment providers, cloud platforms or social platforms.
Baxter IT is not responsible for the content, availability, security or privacy practices of third-party websites or services. You should review the terms and privacy policies that apply to those services.

Where personal information is disclosed or made accessible overseas, we take reasonable steps to ensure it is handled securely and in a way that is consistent with this policy and applicable privacy obligations.
As an IT service provider, Baxter IT may be granted access to client systems, accounts, platforms and business data, including systems such as Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, WordPress, hosting platforms, DNS providers, CRM systems, accounting platforms, remote support tools, device management systems, backup systems and security portals. We access client systems only for authorised service purposes.
10. Security, breaches and retention
We take reasonable steps to protect personal information from misuse, interference, loss, unauthorised access, modification or disclosure. Depending on the circumstances, these steps may include password management, multi-factor authentication, access controls, least-privilege permissions, secure Microsoft 365 and cloud configuration, device security controls, backups, logging, monitoring, secure communication methods and access removal when no longer required.
No system can be guaranteed to be completely secure. However, we take privacy and security seriously and aim to use reasonable technical, administrative and organisational safeguards.
If we become aware of a suspected or actual data breach, we will take steps to assess the incident, contain the issue, reduce potential harm and determine whether notification is required. Where required by law, we will notify affected individuals and the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner or other relevant authorities.
We keep personal information for as long as reasonably necessary for the purpose it was collected, including to provide services, maintain records, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes and support business operations. When information is no longer needed, we will take reasonable steps to delete, de-identify or securely archive it.
11. Access, correction and complaints
You may contact us to request access to personal information we hold about you, or to ask us to correct information you believe is inaccurate, out of date, incomplete, irrelevant or misleading. We may need to verify your identity before responding.
In some cases, we may not be able to provide access to certain information, for example where access would affect another person's privacy, reveal commercially sensitive information, compromise security, breach confidentiality, or where we are legally permitted or required to refuse access.
Where practical, you may deal with us anonymously or using a pseudonym. However, in many cases we need accurate personal and business information to respond to enquiries, provide support, verify authority, manage security, deliver services, prepare invoices or comply with legal obligations.
Our services are generally intended for businesses, organisations and adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children through our website unless it is provided by a parent, guardian, school, sporting organisation, community organisation or other authorised person in connection with our services.
If you have a privacy question, concern or complaint, please contact us first so we can try to resolve it. If you are not satisfied with our response, you may be able to contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner or another relevant regulator, depending on the nature of the complaint.
